I haven’t been to Mississauga for awhile and I decided to try a lakefront park since the weather has been so nice. Before coming I didn’t realize I had been here before! It was long, long ago before I had kids, and I remember my hubby and I walking around the Snug Harbour restaurant area. I didn’t realize there was a playground on the north side of Lakeshore, but then again, we weren’t looking for playgrounds at that time!
Port Credit Memorial is a beautiful and big park with a playground, gazebo, picnic areas, basketball nets, multi-use skate park, and an inlet (Credit river) where you can see people fishing for carp and kayaking, and watch ducks swimming about. Bring bread to feed them and you might attract a crowd of ducks, geese and we also saw a swan!
There’s lots of parking at the Port Credit Memorial Arena at 40 Stavebank Road N, or the Port Credit Library at 20 Lakeshore Rd. E. (just south of the arena). The play structure is big for toddlers but there are baby swings, bouncy fish, lots of play walls including a fire truck, and the play structure does have a ramp that my little guy had fun walking up and down, and up and down, and up and down….
Here are a ton of photos from our trip out. Click on a photo and see the slideshow at your own pace. Enjoy
