    Recommend?: Good to Go!
    Date of Visit: August 2012

    Activities We Did:

Beach, swam, walked around, watched sunset and ate dinner.

    Good to Go!:

Amazing! Lovely park and beach. There are 15 beach areas, tonnes of green space, washrooms, a full service marina, marshes, the extraordinary bluffs, park led activities and more. This is a must visit if you live in the GTA!

The water was clear and warm and the sand soft. My daughter and I had a blast! The views are amazing. Take the time to walk around both sides of the park. There are houseboats which my daughter found fascinating.

Not so Much/ Suggestions for Improvement: The washrooms were dirty but that’s the fault of visitors not staff in my opinion. Same with debris on the beach and in the park.

There is a bit of goose poop on the beach but not too bad. There has been a bird relocation program which has helped a lot with the goose poop in Bluffers Park and Rouge Park apparently.

    Quick Tips for Others:

It is quite a distance from the entrance to the beach so I don’t suggest walking or biking, especially with children. There are 2 parts to the park, one side is the supervised beach and there is a huge parking lot there and the other is parkland, marshes ,unsupervised beaches, and the marina. That side has parking lots too. It is paid parking at certain hours.

The restaurants and concessions are on the marina side but I don’t recommend the Bluffers Restaurant.
Check the website and plan a day there.
