Activities We Did:
Lots of little play areas, farm animals, play barn and little nature center.
Good to Go!:
The play barn was a huge hit, tire swing, jumping areas, tunnels, slides. Everything was done well and my 2.5 year old could play on everything (there is an upstairs designated as 5-10 age group but she was fine climbing, jumping and sliding up there as well). Parents/adults are not allowed up in the loft area o it can be a little hard to keep an eye on your I’d but just listen for their laugh The barns/animal enclosuresitself are smellier than others we’ve been to so my daughter wouldn’t go inside but she did like watching the bunnies and the peacocks.
We will be back to try the wading pool area.
Not so Much/ Suggestions for Improvement:
Bathrooms are absolutely gross, we drive to Tim Hortons so my daughter could use the restroom.
Quick Tips for Others:
Bring food, there are picnic tables everywhere and after running around the play barn the kids are starving!

Activities We Did:
Play barn, Nature Centre, wading pool
Good to Go!:
- My daughter loved the Playbarn. It was a bit busy at first with the summer camp groups but she soon warmed up and was using the slides, running through the tunnels and she even jumped onto the big padded mat from above (while holding my hand )!
- I like that they have outdoor playground sets by the Playbarn picnic area so if you have older kids, they can play by themselves after they finish eating and the adults can relax and take their time.
- The Nature Centre was really cool! There were live turtles and fish, and a touch table where kids can pick up and look at a robin’s nest, coyote skull, deer antler and opposum fur.
- We spent hours at the wading pool. There’s a shallow area around the entire pool and clear makers where the water goes deeper. Plenty of lifeguards on duty. My daughter had her pail, bucket and shovel, and she played and played. My baby also loved the pool, walking me around and around (too bad I forgot to put sunblock on my bare back!).
- You can bring your own food in or buy it at the Parks Store (next to the pool). Picnic tables are spread throughout the park, including around the pool.
- The water/ sand toys sold in the Parks Store are reasonably priced. You can get a pail and shovel for under $2, sand toys for under $3. They even sell kids and infant sunhats and sunblock in case you forget your’s at home.
Not so Much/ Suggestions for Improvement:
- The animal farm could have been bigger but it’s not the main attraction so no big deal.
- More shaded areas around the wading pool would be nice.
Quick Tips for Others:
- The washrooms in the change rooms were gross. You might want to use the washrooms just outside of the wading pool area (outside of the gate) on the other side of the gift shop/ food place. Much cleaner (less used). Just tell the person at the gate you’re coming back and they’ll either stamp your hand or give you a wristband so you can come back in.
- If you’re going to both the Playbarn and the wading pool, there are separate lots to park at. We parked at the lot closest to the Playbarn and walked to the wading pool with the strollers when we should have driven there. The walk isn’t very long but if you take the path, there are a few areas that are hard to cross with strollers. The alternative is to push the strollers on the roadway but it’s hard to see cars coming around the corner.
- Check out or print the day-use area map before going-
