    Recommend?: Good to Go!
    Date of Visit: Jan 2012
Event/ Program/ Class Name: Pleasure Ice Skating

    Activities We Did:

Ice Skating. Drank hot chocolate from the vending machine *yummy!*

    Good to Go!:

Separate women and men’s change rooms. Lot’s of seating to lace up your skates.
Lockers : bring your own padlock.
They have 2 rinks here: One dedicated for hockey, and one for pleasure skating.
They have young staff members who supervise the ice (45 hours a week) and are very friendly.
They do have a zamboni machine, so the ice is well maintained and Cameron loved seeing it go by the ice!
We also had some hot chocolate from the vending machine.

Not so Much/ Suggestions for Improvement:

The change rooms are in need of maintenance and updating but they still do the job. The city is planning on doing upgrades in 2012.

    Quick Tips for Others:

Bring your pad-log for your locker to put your stuff in.
Don’t bring any valuables/don’t leave them in your locker (just in case).
Bring lot’s of change for the hot chocolate machine
They do NOT rent out skates – bring your own.
    Very well lit rinks.
Free street parking along neighbouring streets. Gerard streetcar stop just 2 minutes away.
Be sure to dress for the weather, the change rooms and common areas are very minimally heated.
There is no changing table that I could see – but you wouldn’t want to change your little one in the cold
