Good to Go!:
I like that there’s a separate pool for tots that’s warmer and shallow. It is smaller than I imagined it however the swim time (Tues 10- 11:15am) wasn’t too busy and the pool didn’t get crowded.
The big pool has a long ramp leading into the pool and the shallow area is pretty big. My little guy loved going up and down the upper part of the ramp.
There are some balls, toys and float boards you can use. You can also bring in your own water toys. If I had brought in a pail and shovel I think my son would have stayed playing in the smaller pool for longer with me sitting next to him.
18 months and under are free for drop-in swims. Adults pay $2. Great price!
Not so Much/ Suggestions for Improvement:
There’s no changing area in the change rooms. I’ve seen large counter spaces at other swimming pools. I laid my son down on a bench with a towel on top and held him so he wouldn’t roll over. Someone else next to me had her baby wrapped in a towel on the floor.
There’s only one shower stall that has a hand-held shower head. The others have the spray on so hard that it was very unpleasant for me showering let alone my little guy! I had to hold him away from the spray while I scooped water on him with my hand to rinse him off.
Quick Tips for Others:
Lockers are available in the change room for a quarter.
You can leave your stroller outside of the change room in the hallway. There’s a staff member sitting nearby who can watch your stroller but they don’t guarantee they will be there throughout the entire swim.
You need to go up to the second floor to pay and get a ticket(around the corner from the elevator) and back down to the main floor to get to the change rooms.
If you are parking underground you must pay with cash when exiting.
You can park free at the lot between the arena and playground that’s behind the Community Centre (access the lot from Orchard View Boulevard) only if you are using the playground during your stay. There are staff monitoring the entrance to this lot.

Activities We Did:
We go to the indoor pool for the parent & tot swim. In the summer, we also go to the outdoor pool.
Good to Go!:
The small pool is great for little ones and there are lots of great kids & caregivers there. Also, afterwards there is a snack bar upstairs that’s very convenient and the kids can play there for a while.
The outdoor pool in the summer is really nice. It’s heated and free! That was a nice surprise to me!
Not so Much/ Suggestions for Improvement:
The only problem is sometimes things are broken/not working properly. I find the temperature in the little pool can vary quite a bit. Not a big deal, but somedays it’s not as warm as I’d like. The kids never seem to mind
