What We Offer

Indoor playground  in one big room! Baby area is on foam mats and includes a swing, exersaucer, small slides, a mini ball pit with ramp, a walker and more. For toddlers there’s ride-on toys, small climbing structures with slides, Step 2 “roller coaster” cars, small table and chairs, pretend-play toys inc. kitchen, food and tea cups. And for older kids there’s a rock climbing wall, air hockey, foosball, big climbing structure with tunnels and slides.

Arts & crafts available while enjoying the playground for $3- 8 extra including Make Your Own Puzzle, CLICS, Play Mais, Picture It Picture Books (you can take it home with you!).

There are special event days where arts and crafts are free along with paid play, mommy group gatherings with discount playground rates (see website for drop in dates).

Birthday parties also available

 

Ages

  • 0- 7 years for the indoor playground.
  • 3+ years for arts and crafts activities (single classes).

 

Hours of Operation

Currently we are open:

9:30 am – 2:00 pm Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
4:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesdays

Weekend availability will be posted on our calendar each Wednesday for that given weekend.

Please check the website to confirm hours of operation as they may be modified in the near future.

Cost

  • $8.00 – 1st child
    $6.00 – sibling fee
    $5.00 – infant fee (or FREE with paying sibling)
    $5.00 – Fridays for all kids of all ages
  • Mastercard, Visa, debit, cash accepted.

 

Good to Know

  • Socks only facility.
  • Outside food is allowed but must be nut free.
  • The owner can order pizza in for you.

    Activities We Did: Slides, usual assortment of toys, ride on toys, large bus to pretend to drive with other children
    Not so Much.: I think it might be good for the younger set but my active child was bored. Climbing up and sliding a few times but otherwise, eh, wouldn't go off and play. She prefers giant climbing structures like Busy Bodies or places with more Playground like equipment (indoor tire swing, places to jump onto soft mats, etc).

    Event/ Program/ Class Name: Zoo Tek Animal Show
    Activities We Did: This was our second time at Timbuktu. We attended a birthday party there our first time and we were there for the Zoo Tek Animal Show this time.
    Good to Go!: I love how clean the facility is and the staff are very friendly as well. The show was great, the presenter was engaging and very comfortable with young kids. He also had some of the kids take around the animals to show everyone and allowed kids to pose with some of the animals for pictures.
    My daughter loved the playground and didn't want to leave. We stayed until closing time (2:00) because she wanted to keep playing.
    Love the comfy couches for nursing!
    Not so Much.: I wish they had at least one other washroom. Some kids have trouble waiting to go and a lot of people attended the show.
    It would have been nice to have an option for parents to order pizza for themselves when buying tickets for their kids.

      I would like to take the time to thank you for your ‘Good to Go’ recommendation and appreciate your recommendation on a second bathroom and very much agree with you. I must apologize about the lack of communication with respect to the pizza for adults. We had additional pizza ordered and had offered it to parents that wished to purchase on the date of the event. I am sorry if this was not communicated to you as it was not intentional.

      We are constantly trying to think of new ideas and fun events for the kids. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to email them over.

    Good to Go!: We had my daughter's 3rd birthday party here and will come back for her 4th! All the children, aged 7 months to 7 years had a fantastic time and no one wanted to leave when it was over! There are many play structures, air hockey table, a rock climbing wall, Little Tikes roller coaster cars, play houses, and a baby area. The adults sat back and relaxed and enjoyed chatting while watching their children play. It's a big, very clean and safe facility. Valerie helped us setup, serve the pizza and cake, made sure all the kids were taken care of, and cleaned up everything. No hassle, wonderful service, and she's great with the kids. I highly recommend this place to family, friends, and everyone else. Thank you Valerie!

    Activities We Did: I went there with my 3 year-old daughter and 9 month-old son. They both loved it. It is a great place to visit on a rainy day. There is enough space to use all of their energy.
    Good to Go!: We loved the climbing structure and the bus. Also a spot for small babies was great.
    Not so Much.: Feeding area. As Melanie noticed, it is hard to see the other kid while feeding the first one. Solution: make them eat together;)))

    Activities We Did: Ride-on cars & trucks, Slides & climbing structure, mini-kitchens, mini-ball pit, ABC puzzle mat, lot's of running around too =)
    Good to Go!: My (just turned) 3 year old loved it here! She especially enjoyed the big truck at the back of the room, the red slide & the ride on cars. She enjoyed learning to go up the ramp by holding onto the ropes, and playing with the balls from the mini-ball pit. She also liked the 2 mini-roller coasters with ride on cars. This place kept her entertained for over 2 hours, and I'm sure she could have stayed longer too! There is lot's to play with, but it doesn't feel crowded. Clean & inviting space.
    Quick Tips for Others: Free Parking. Easy to get to from the 401. Separate snack area, you can bring snacks but they must be nut free. Free coffee & tea.

    Washroom: Change table, step stool, low sink, lower toilet than usual is practical for all to use. Also a toilet trainer seat that you can use (but the bathroom was a bit cold and when my daughter sat down she told her so).

    Good to Go!: We went with both kids and liked the baby area as there was alot to do. The sitting area was nice and the free wifi really helped!
    Not so Much.: We got there at 10am and were there for 2 hrs. My 4 yr old was starting to get a little bored after an hour. There wasn't alot for her to do

    Good to Go!: This playground is one big space so I can see both my kids playing while I relax on a comfortable couch (although not for long before one of my kids calls for me!). My daughter really liked the climbing structures and play houses, she had a tea party, did some colouring, rode in the cars and played in the big truck at the back. My son disappeared up the stairs of the big climbing structure and I came down the slide with him which was quite fast and fun! He really liked the small ball pit and just crawling around and exploring.

    This place is very clean. Because there aren't many small toys you don't have to worry too much about your child getting sick from someone else who just put the same toy in his/ her mouth.

    They have a potty seat in the washroom which is really important for my daughter because she's still scared of "big" toilets.

    I like that there are lots of snacks for purchase and you can bring in your own food too (as long as it's nut free). I'm usually in such a rush getting out the door in the morning I pack everything for my son but forget to pack anything for me!

    Good value if you have a child who isn't walking (free when coming with a paying sibling).
    Not so Much.: If your child likes pretend play, there's nothing much here for them except some cups and saucers for a tea party. The playground is definitely for children who love running around.

    If you are feeding a baby in the eating area and your other child is in the playground area, you can't see them that well. You have to sit at the edge of the eating table and peak around the corner to check on your child.

    The owner has many neat arts and crafts activities for children 3/ 4 yrs and up. My daughter is still too young for them (I tried getting her to do the Play Mais but it didn’t go very well.. in other words I ended up putting the fish together and I didn’t do a good job at it myself!).
