    Recommend?: Good to Go!
    Date of Visit: July 2011

    Activities We Did:

Played in the gym equipment, swung in the swing, visited the water garden & ran around in the huge green grassy area!

    Good to Go!:

I packed a blanket & picnic and we headed to Earl Bakes Park for an afternoon of fun – and we sure had one!
Parking is free, and there is lot’s of it. I suggest parking in the lot close to the play ground for quicker access.

We started by playing in the playground with it’s slides & swings and climbing equipment. Then we visited the big moose and ran around in the grass and made some bubbles – my daughter loved running after them in the huge grassy area! It’s really HUGE (I don’t think I can say it enough! *lol*). We should have brought our kite, but forgot.

Then we visited the water garden. It was built in 2011 and is kind of like a splash pad with some water features. So bring your swim wear and a towel. It has some cool equipment where you can make music by tapping on these drum like tubes.

There are a few trees in this area, but not that many, so don’t forget a sun hat and sunscreen when you visit in the summer.

Washrooms are located in the Earl Bales Community Centre just a short walk away. I don’t recall if they have a change table, but I think they do.

    Quick Tips for Others:

Pack up a bag and spend a fun afternoon at this park doing lot’s of different things!
There is an outdoor amphitheatre where they have concerts during the summer, check the website for a schedule.
