    Good to Go!:

There’s a smaller splash pad for babies, which prevents them from being run over by bigger kids! Bathrooms were clean on the day that I went. There’s plenty of trees and a few picnic tables by the splash pads.

    Quick Tips for Others:

Pay attention to where you park, as there was a parking enforcement officer cruising the area the whole 2 hours that we were there. Street parking is for 1 hour only. (I just moved my car after an hour). There is a small parking lot on Hendon Avenue but you need to have a permit for that park displayed on your dashboard or you risk being ticketed.

    Good to Go!:

Beautiful park with lots of sand for the kids to play in (the water from the splash pads makes building even more fun!). Lots of shady areas to have a picnic.

It was too cold to go to the splash pads today, but they looked like a lot of fun – the water was splashing continuously, unlike some other parks where you have to press a button every few minutes.

As we were leaving, my son wanted to know if we could come back later that day – guess he had a blast!

    Quick Tips for Others:

There is free parking off of Hendon. The entrance is a little tricky to see, but it’s there!

    Good to Go!:

Value: Free parking is always a plus.
Commute: A short walk from the Finch Subway Station.
Activities: This park has it all! Big & little kid swings, climbing structures, tunnels, play ship. The splash pads are in great condition and well maintained. Having the washrooms there was great too. Lot’s of shade around the splash pad.

Not so Much/ Suggestions for Improvement:

There is no changing table in the washrooms.
Be warned that during summer vacation the park can get very busy with older kids (8-12) that visit with summer camps. My toddler felt a little overwhelmed by the 70+ kids running around that day.
Not much shade around the playground.

    Quick Tips for Others:

Don’t forget to bring some sand toys & trucks! The playground is in a BIG sandbox with lot’s of free space to play in the sand!

    Good to Go!:

    - A fair amount of seating. There are picnic tables and benches around the splash pad and benches between the splash pad and playground (too bad there aren’t any benches around the playground itself). The park wasn’t too busy when we went but almost all of the picnic tables were being used. Bring a blanket for the grass just in case.
    - The splash pad is big! I like that there’s a separate pad for smaller kids.
    - The playground has lots of equipment to keep toddlers and preschoolers entertained.

Not so Much/ Suggestions for Improvement:

There’s not much shade around the playground nor any benches. My friend and I sat on a blanket under a tree but it didn’t provide much shade and we had those (harmless but annoying) little green bugs dropping all over us!
