Event/ Program/ Class Name: Drop In and Music for Everyone

    Activities We Did:

Drop In Play and then Music For Everyone (4 -4:30 on Wednesdays)

    Good to Go!:

It was our first time here and a friendly staff member took us around to show us the facilities. There was a great group of regular moms who were very nice. The staff member who led Music For Everyone was very enthusiastic and fun. We’d definitely be going back.

Not so Much/ Suggestions for Improvement:

They are short-staffed right now and the infant room was closed. Everyone just used the toddler room.

    Quick Tips for Others:

Stroller parking is outside and a staff member said it was safe.
You have to leave your bags in the cubby hole bag area at the back section.
You also have to wear socks in the infant room. They have socks there for you to use.
There’s also another play room downstairs used when the upstairs ones are busy. My baby is fussy about only nursing when it’s quiet and a staff member said we could nurse downstairs.

    Activities We Did:

    Music and movement
    Snack
    Circle

    Good to Go!:

the programs all change daily and monthly. The toys are different each day and that keeps things fresh.
The staff are amazing and will help answer any questions you have about your little ones.

Great group of regulars that visit this location.

    Everything is free!!!

Not so Much/ Suggestions for Improvement:

small snack and dress area but easy to work around.
Green p is expensive if visiting regularly. Street parking only 1 hour but usually can get away with around 1.5 hours.

    Quick Tips for Others:

circles are usually are around 10:15-10:45 if you want to get there for that.
check out their calendar for other offerings besides the standard drop ins like baby sign language, nutrition, gym time, etc.

    Activities We Did:

We ended up joining circle time with the older children and sang songs for a half hour.

    Good to Go!:

It was my first time here and one of the staff took me around and showed me the different rooms and where to store our things. There are 3 different rooms- 2 on the main floor and one in the basement, each for different age groups. There’s a kitchen with a microwave and kettle which you are welcome to use. At the back is an area where you can store your jackets and bags in cubby holes. A washroom is here as well with a smaller toilet for kids and change station for baby.

I found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable. They’re all ECE trained and very willing to answer any questions you may have.

My little guy loved circle time (as usual). After it was done we stayed for a bit to play but there didn’t seem to be a whole lot of toys.

Not so Much/ Suggestions for Improvement:

If you’re coming by car you need to either park on the street (1 hour only and I hear they’re very diligent about giving out tickets) or in the Green P that’s almost directly across the street which is $2 per half hour.

There’s only one small table and a few chairs for children to sit at and have snacks. It’s at the back where everyone puts their coats and shoes so it gets pretty crowded and difficult to get in and out. I was going to see if I could find another place to feed my baby but I had been parked on the street for just over an hour so I had to run out!

    Quick Tips for Others:

Strollers must be left outside. It’s probably safe but I’d advise not to bring a very expensive stroller!

Since I’m driving, the parking situation is a big deal for me. Since I don’t live close by, there has to be something special about this place for me to want to come back. I might give it another go in the New Year when my son is a bit older, but for now, I’d rather check out another place.
