What We Offer
Sandbanks Beach Resort offers the closest cottages, luxury rental RV trailers, modular homes, and campsites to the breathtaking Sandbanks! All the beaches are accessible free via walking, bicycle or boat. We have two separate locations about a kilometer apart. Our Sand Dunes location boarders Sandbanks Provincial Park so we are just a two minute walk away from 8 kilometers of picturesque Sand Dunes about 25 meters high which separates the warm clean waters of West Lake from Lake Ontario. The Sandview location just up the shoreline has its own charm with a private natural shoreline with docks, extensive sunning decks, a diving raft, a big sandbox 80′ x 10′, and excellent swimming. We have a few units right on the water at both locations with a stunning view of West Lake, the setting sun and of course … the Sandbanks!
We are a very quiet and serene cottage resort and we do not allow any parties or noise of any kind after 11pm. For the peace and enjoyment of all, especially those who may have allergies, we do not allow pets and our accommodations are scent and of course smoke free. During the summer when the kids are out of school, we are almost exclusively occupied by families with young children looking for a memorable holiday right at the Sandbanks. In the spring and fall we welcome family reunions, fishing parties, guys or gals’ get-to-gethers and always couples looking for a romantic stay next to the Sandbanks Provincial Park.
Our spectacular Prince Edward County is becoming increasingly more popular in the wine industry. Wine tours are abundant here. If you like exploring nature’s beauty, we have an abundance of venues for you; from birding in one of Canada’s major migratory routes, great bicycling routes on flat terrain, winery tours, artist’s studio tours, Maple Syrup festivals, live theatre, an annual Marathon (Boston Qualifying) ,unique shopping experiences, cross country skiing, ice fishing and because we are surrounded by water, boating is another favourite County pastime. It’s no wonder many folks and families who come here for a few days do in FACT wind up staying for a lifetime! We are a retirement haven … with a very low crime rate, a rural setting and many scenic treasures and trails to explore. So come for a visit yourself, and see what you think!

Activities We Did:
Stayed at one of the cottages closest to the waters edge. Hung out at the Dunes and at Sandbanks
Good to Go!:
Beautiful campground / trailer park / cottage resort. Amazing location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Amazingly close to the dunes at Sandbanks with a little 5min path directly from the resort.
This place is Picturesque and well worth the quick drive to Prince Edward County.
Quick Tips for Others:
Picton is 10mins away. So you can get groceries and other items from there. Careful as everything closes by 5-6pm.
Also note, this is wine country so there are many Vineyards with Wine tours.
