I’m not sure why the previous post about The Pied Piper was removed. We had a wonderful experience. The kids enjoyed it immensely. A few of the younger children were scared of the rats. The singing, dancing and acting were great. A wonderful theatrical experience for both children and parents.
Upon reading the review given about Beauty and the Beast. We also saw that show as well. Something you need to know about Solar Stage, these are adapted versions of the original stories. They are not the “Disney” version so to speak, so you wll find them quite different but pleasing none the less.
Hi Wendy,
Which post do you mean? It usually takes up to 48 hours for reviews / comments to be approved and appear on the site. I didn’t see another comment/ review from you. Are you referring to Pam’s review below?
Thank you!
Melanie
Yes, apparently it appeared and then disappeared from the site. Thanks
Solar Stage has done it again!
I’ve gone to see many shows with my daughter and every time the kids have such a blast! The actors are always wonderful, but this cast was impeccable! The singing (and rapping!) was amazing, the dancing was beautifully choreographed and performed, the comedy timing was perfect and everyone had a wonderful time!
You could tell the actors were having fun which made it fun for the audience. There were a few moments when some of the younger kids cried when the rats came out, but the majority of the audience was laughing at their goofiness. They even made a nasty bully lovable and funny!
Definitely worth going to visit. Solar Stage delivers show after show of quality that is perfect for children.
Not so Much/ Suggestions for Improvement:
I’m sure they have some good performances but Beauty and the Beast was not one of them. It was really painful for parents — no jokes, and no fun. The kids did enjoy it although I’m not sure why. The songs were not cathcy or fun, the story was really weird, and the interactivity with kids was unimaginative. I enjoy kids stuff but I found this quite boring and altogether unimpressive. Also, they charge for babies which I think is not at all cool.
